Jeffrey D. Monson Appointed Director of Rooms for 502-Room Hyatt Regency Boston Hotel
Hyatt Regency Boston announces the appointment of Jeffrey D. Monson as the new director of rooms
Boston, Mass (January 14, 2014) – Hyatt Regency Boston today announces the appointment of Jeffrey D. Monson as the new director of rooms. In this role, Monson will lead the day-to-day rooms operations at Hyatt Regency Boston, overseeing the front office, guest services, valet parking, and housekeeping functions. Monson will utilize his knowledge and experience in the hospitality industry to further develop the rooms division and execute Hyatt’s philosophy of authentic hospitality and personalized service.

Monson joins the rooms division at Hyatt Regency Boston with over 20 years of experience with Hyatt.
Most recently, Monson worked as the director of rooms at Hyatt Regency Boston’s sister property, Hyatt Boston Harbor. Monson began his career as a recreation attendant at Grand Hyatt Kauai in Hawaii. His attention to detail and increased knowledge allowed Monson to quickly move up through the ranks before moving back to the mainland to join Hyatt Regency New Orleans as the assistant rooms executive. After exceeding in that role, Monson was promoted to director of operations at Hyatt Sarasota, assistant rooms executive at Grand Hyatt New York, and director of rooms at Hyatt Regency Long Island before joining Hyatt Boston Harbor.
Monson graduated from Denison University with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology.
