History
Fenway Park’s first pitch was thrown on April 20th, 1912 against the New York Highlanders, better known presently as Boston Rivals, the New York Yankees. The Boston Red Sox defeated the New York Highlanders in eleven innings, 7-6 in front of 27,000 local fans.
